WHERE TO USE: protective coating on various wooden surfaces in the saunas.
For wooden surfaces in steam rooms, bathrooms, dressing rooms: walls, ceilings, doors, partitions, sweating shelves, benches.

VISUAL EFFECT: transparent coating, keeps the natural tone of the wood.
Does not change the color of the thermally modified timber.

Description: New generation tinted water based hybrid oil for interior wooden surfaces

Type: Water based

Coverage (m2/L):

10-12 m2 on softwoods,

15-18 m2 on hardwoods (depending on wood type and application method).

Drying Time (at 20°C and 40 -65% relative humidity):

Touch Dry: 30 minutes

Complete Dry: 16 hours

Thinning: Ready to use, does not require thinning.

Surface Preparation:

• Remove any dirt, oil and wood dust from the surface.

New Wood Surfaces:

• Sand the surface with sandpaper #80/120.
• Thoroughly clean the generated dust.

Old Uncoated Wood Surfaces:

• Sand the weathered surface with sandpaper #150/180

Coated Wood Surfaces:

• Do not apply the product directly on pre-coated surfaces.
• Remove the old paint/varnish from the surface completely with a sanding machine.
• Thoroughly clean the generated dust.

Application:

• The product is ready to use and does not require thinning.
• Stir the product thoroughly before use and check its homogeneity. Repeat this process during the application. Apply the product in 1 coat by a brush or roller and remove the excess oil by brush for the best result.
• Apply in the direction of wood to get a homogeneous look.
• The treated surfaces may be stepped on after 24 hours.

Maintenance (when the same product had been used before):

• Do not apply the product directly on pre-coated surfaces.
• Clean the wood surface completely from dirt and oil and perform a slight sanding. Thoroughly clean the generated dust.
• Repeat same process as described in “Application”.
• Inspect annually and maintain as required.

Instructions:

• Keep product closed when not in use.
• The general application temperature of the product is between 15 °C to 25°C at a relative humidity range of 40-65%. The moisture content of the wood should be max. 20%.
• Do not apply the product under direct sunlight or rain.
• Do not apply linseed oil, basecoat/primer, yacht varnish before or after SAUNA OIL
• applied surfaces.
• The product should be protected from freezing and stored at temperatures between 5°C to 35°C.
• Painting tools should be cleaned with soap and plenty of warm water after application.

• KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN
• Do not transfer contents to other containers for storage
• Do not use empty cans for other purposes.
• To avoid overexposure, open windows and doors or use other means to ensure fresh air entry during application and drying.
• Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Wash hands after using.
• FIRST AID: In case of eye contact, flush thoroughly with large amounts of water. Get medical attention if irritation persists. If swallowed, call Poison Control Center, hospital emergency room, or physician immediately.
• Dispose of contents/cans in accordance with national regulations.
